What's New in OnMyLead 2.1

Bluetooth Sharing with no service, the Emergency Siren, Map Settings, 3D Terrain, the Badge Leaderboard and the rest of 2.1, with a link to the guide for each.

iPhone AppLast Updated

OnMyLead 2.1 keeps your group talking where the signal ends. It works the same on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and Android tablets, except CarPlay, which is iPhone only. Here are the big changes, with the guide for each. The full list is on the Release Notes page.

The Big Changes

  • Bluetooth Sharing with no service. When there's no cell service, phones on the same ride pass spots, status taps, messages and EMERGENCY to each other over Bluetooth, about 100 to 300 feet between phones, and every phone passes them along the group. Seeing riders and sharing your spot, taps and messages over Bluetooth is Pro. On every plan your phone passes everything along, and EMERGENCY, Need Help and Crash Alerts go out over Bluetooth. It isn't a satellite messenger and can't reach 911. See Share With Nearby Riders With No Service.
  • Emergency Siren. When another rider on your ride sends EMERGENCY, or their Crash Alert goes out, your phone sounds a loud siren on a full-screen alert until you tap Silence Siren or Show Me Where. See Hear the Emergency Siren.
  • Map Settings. One round button in the top-left corner of every riding map opens everything about the map: the map style, roads, trails and land boundaries, how the map follows you, and your own dot. See Map Layers and Trails.
  • A smoother map that keeps you on screen. The map moves smoothly while you ride, your dot stays on screen, and the map zooms in at intersections so you see the turn. See Follow Me on the Map.
  • A new rider dot. Every live rider is a glossy dot with an arrow pointing the way they're heading: the leader in blue, the tail gunner in violet. With Pro you pick your own dot's style and size in Map Settings. See Use Ride Mode.
  • Group Spread and Leader Trackline. A measuring line under the rider line shows how far the last rider is behind the leader, and a blue line behind the leader shows exactly which way they went. See Follow the Leader's Trackline.
  • 3D Terrain. Satellite on the real shape of the land in Ride Mode and Map Mode, and you can save it in Offline Maps. See 3D Terrain.
  • Badge Leaderboard. See where you rank in your state, your country or everywhere, by the badges you earned riding. See See the Badge Leaderboard.
  • Group Photos. Give your riding group a photo of the crew. Everyone sees it; adding one is Pro. See Create and Manage a Riding Group.
  • CarPlay (Pro, iPhone). Your ride on the car screen, with big buttons for status taps and EMERGENCY. See Use OnMyLead on CarPlay.
  • Edit Ride Details, drop a waypoint by holding the map, Scout for places to ride and offroad park trails on every map. See Edit, Cancel or Delete a Ride, Waypoints and Planned Stops, Find Places to Ride With Scout and Offroad Park Trails.
  • Always call 911. The Rider Safety and Liability Agreement (version 2) says plainly that OnMyLead's alerts only reach riders on your ride. After you update, the Before You Ride screen shows once more so you can read it and tap I Agree. See The Rider Safety and Liability Agreement.
  • See your version. The bottom of Home shows which version you have, like Version 2.1 (10).

A Fresh Pro Trial

Bluetooth Sharing, CarPlay, customizing your dot and adding group photos are part of OnMyLead Pro from 2.1. So nobody loses anything the day 2.1 arrives, every rider who doesn't have Pro gets a fresh 30-day Pro trial, and Home shows the date it ends. Safety stays free on every plan. See Your Free 30-Day Pro Trial and Free and Pro.
