Like, Comment and Post in Social

See what your friends are up to, like and comment on rides, badges and trails, reply to comments, post ride reports with a photo, and share them.

iPhone AppLast Updated

Social is where you see everything your friends and the riders you follow have been up to: finished rides, badges, shared trails, group rides and posts. You can like anything, read every comment, and open any rider's profile.

Open Social

  • On the Rides tab, tap Open Social next to Feed, or tap any post in the feed.
  • Or tap Friends & Social in your toolkit.

On a phone, Social has three tabs: Activity (everyone's posts), Friends and My Posts. On an iPad, an Android tablet or a big window, your friends sit on the left and the posts on the right, so you can switch without losing your place.

Like and Comment

  • Tap the heart under a post to like it. Tap it again to take the like back.
  • Tap Comment, or tap the post, to open it on its own page with every comment and who liked it.
  • Type in the box at the bottom (up to 500 characters) and tap the red arrow.

You can delete your own comments. You can also delete any comment on your own posts, rides, badges and trails.

Like and Reply to Comments

  • Tap Like under a comment to like it. The heart turns red and shows how many riders liked it. Tap it again to take the like back.
  • Tap Reply under a comment. "Replying to" and the rider's name show above the box; type your reply and tap the red arrow. Tap ✕ to go back to a plain comment.
  • Replies sit under the comment they answer, a step in. Replying to a reply keeps it in the same conversation and starts it with @ and the name of the rider you answered.

The rider whose comment you like or answer gets a notification. Deleting a comment deletes its replies too.

Post on Your Profile

  1. In Social, tap Post a ride report… at the top (it's also at the top of your own profile).
  2. Write up to 500 characters about the ride, the trail or the crew.
  3. Tap Take Photo or Add Photo to add one picture, if you like.
  4. Tap Post.

Your post shows on your profile and in the feeds of the riders your Who Sees Your Activity setting allows (see Your Home Screen). To delete it, tap ⋯ on the post, then Delete Post. Its likes and comments go with it.

Photos are made smaller before they upload: no more than 1,280 pixels on the long side and under 1 MB. Nothing about where you took the photo is added.

Rider Profiles

Tap a rider's name anywhere in Social to open their profile: their picture, the PRO tag if they have OnMyLead Pro, when they joined, their rides, miles and badges, and their posts, rides, badges and trails, newest first. Tap the picture to see it full size.

From a profile you can Message a friend, Add Friend, or Report them. You see a rider's activity only if their Who Sees Your Activity setting allows it.

See a Picture Full Size

Tap any profile picture, in Social, Friends, Messages, chats or Who's Riding, to see it big. Tap a post's photo to see the whole photo. Tap anywhere to close it.

Share to Facebook, Instagram or X

  1. Tap Share under one of your own rides, badges or posts, or under a shared trail.
  2. Tap Share Picture to share a picture card with the miles, badge or trail name, or Share Text Only. The picture is a 1080 by 1350 PNG named OnMyLead, about 1 to 2 MB, so Facebook, Instagram and Messages take it right away.
  3. Pick Facebook, Instagram, X, Messages or any other app.

Every share links to onmylead.com. Your location is never in a share, and you can't share other riders' rides or posts, or who's out riding right now.

On the website, Share Picture opens your browser's share menu. If your browser doesn't have one, the picture downloads and the text is copied so you can paste it into your post.

Liking a comment is free. Replying to a comment is part of commenting, so it needs Pro.

Riders with Pro (or the Pro Trial) show a gold PRO tag next to their name. See Free and Pro.

Keep It Friendly

If a post or comment shouldn't be there, tap ⋯ on the post (or Report under a comment) and pick a reason. A post or comment that several riders report is hidden until the OnMyLead team looks at it, and the team removes ones that break the rules. Blocked riders never see your posts or comments, and you never see theirs. See Report or Block a Rider.

When a comment is hidden, the replies under it are hidden with it.

To stop likes and comments notifications, turn off Likes and Comments in Notification Settings.
