Change the Look (Light Mode, Themes and Color Blind Mode)
Switch between Dark, Light and Match Phone, pick one of four themes, and turn on Color Blind Mode.
OnMyLead starts in the dark Night Navy look. Go to You > Appearance to change it. The app redraws as soon as you tap, and it opens the same way next time.
Light mode, Match Phone and the themes are Pro features. See Free and Pro. Dark mode, the Navy theme and Color Blind Mode stay free. If you picked a look before version 2.0, the app keeps it.
Mode
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Dark | The dark look OnMyLead has always had. The default. |
| Light | Light backgrounds with dark text. Easier to read in bright sun. |
| Match Phone | Follows your phone's own Dark Mode setting and switches when your phone does. |
Themes
Each theme comes in a dark and a light version. Buttons stay logo red and links stay logo blue in every theme.
- Night Navy: the classic OnMyLead look.
- Carbon: true black. On phones with an OLED screen it uses a little less battery.
- Desert: warm sand and dust tones.
- Forest: deep pine green.
The maps look the same in every theme, and so do the name tags on the map, so riders always read them the same way.
Color Blind Mode
Turn on Color Blind Mode if red and green (or blue and yellow) are hard to tell apart. It changes:
- Rider status colors: OK is sky blue, falling behind is yellow and separated is orange-red, and Ride Mode adds a symbol (✓, ! or ✕) next to a rider who needs a look.
- Trail ratings, trail spots (obstacles, hazards, water crossings and viewpoints) and your Track Line days.
The Appearance screen shows a preview of these colors as you switch.
On Your Other Devices
Your choice follows your account to every device you sign in on. A change from another device shows the next time you open the app (or right away if you just opened it), so the screen never changes in the middle of a ride. See Use OnMyLead on More Than One Device.
On a Tablet
On iPad and Android tablets the four themes sit side by side in one row. Everything else works the same as on a phone.
